About Fowl Heist!

Originally created, and later rejected, for a 3D animation college project, our film was first titled “Leroy’s Burger Heist” featuring Filbert the seagull and his friends attempting to steal burgers from a local pier burger shop.
From that jumping point, our idea has taken many turns in development to become the story it is now

With most of the original concept scrapped, we had a lot of room to play with a new story. While still about birds performing a heist, we took more inspiration from the city of Chicago where we are based and it’s past with the mafia.
Instead of an anxious protagonist, Floyd the seagull became Don Seaglione and his main character position was replaced by Flock Puddlefoot, a young ruddy duck.

In 1950s Chicago, a down-on-his-luck duck is drawn into the bird mafia's world of speakeasies and illegal bird seed trade by a cunning seagull mafia boss.
Forced to protect his sister, the duck reluctantly agrees to participate in a high-stakes heist against a paranoid chef who believes birds are government spies.
As tensions rise, loyalty is tested, and explosive chaos ensues, the duck must outwit both the mafia and the chef to ensure his family's safety

Scrappy young lad who fends for himself and his sister. He comes across as shy and timid but very smart. He doesn’t stick up for himself often, but what he lacks in confidence he has in smarts.
Seaglione is a terrifying presence to be around. He's apathetic to others and lacks the ability to see others feelings.

Set in mid century Chicago, when the city was in its golden era fueled with a flourishing economy and rich with culture. As the city grew outward and upward, as did the underground world of the birds that resided in the city.
Their main location set in an abandoned warehouse, the Seaglione family has the run of the town. Using the cracks and crevasses ignored by most humans, they run information and pull of organized crime right under their noses.
